Mighty Writer Wins Education Resources Award!
"An exciting hands-on resource for developing early literacy skills."
David from the Mighty Writer team was delighted to not only attend this year's Education Resources Awards on 16th March 2018, but to walk away with an award!
The judges voted us the Best Primary Resource or Equipment (Non-ICT).
We were also recognised as Highly Commended in the Early Years Resource or Equipment category.
To be recognised in this way by industry experts and teachers is a huge privilege, and a real testimony to the impact Mighty Writer is having on children's literacy skills.
What The Judges said
Mighty Writer was described as an exciting hands-on resource for developing early literacy skills.
The judges thought that this would engage children and that the entry provided highly impressive user feedback on impact.
About the ERAs
The awards are held every year to highlight and reward the quality and diversity of educational products, resources, services and people, as well as the best educational establishments and the most dedicated members of the teaching profession.
Held at The National Conference Centre in Birmingham, and with over 320 guests this year, it is a fantstic event which aims to raise the standards of educational services & products throughout the industry.
The entries are independently assessed by a panel of 16 expert judges, most of whom are teaching professionals, who select the winners for each of the 22 award categories.
"The Year 1 teachers have started using the mats and, in just 2 weeks, we have already seen an improvement in the children's writing - especially the boys!"
